BREAKING NEWS: Bloomberg Proposes Sugary Soda Ban

NEW YORK NIX

Sugar Fix? Bloomberg proposes portion control.

NEW YORK (5/31/12) Mayor Michael Bloomberg makes bold move to control sugar consumption in the Big Apple.  In the plan released earlier today he calls for a municipal wide ban of large sugary drinks of more than 16oz. The plan is reportedly a response to studies completed by city health organizations showing that 58 percent of New York City adults and nearly 40 percent of city public school students are obese or overweight.  (Source:  MSNBC )
