Huffington Post touts treadmills as the hot trend for 2015. Treadmills are more relevant than ever, and continue to be one of the most effective pieces of equipment for building cardiovascular endurance.

Treadmills are the New Black
As you get ready to be #fitin15, use the treadmill - the time has never been better to train on the staple of most facilities. Here are 5 reasons why you should step onto the treadmill today.
-
In the gym, the weather is always perfect
Lots of people have been breaking up with their treadmills for the great outdoors (we are also supporters of outdoor running, even in the cold winter months). While there are many benefits to getting your cardio outside, there are days when it is too icy or cold. Training on a treadmill takes the guesswork out of what to wear, saves you from investing in winter shoes or cold weather gear, and you can be guaranteed you will always have the right amount of daylight.
-
Go the distance without wear and tear on your joints
Most treadmills offer suspension systems designed to provide the right support and reduce impact, particularly when your heel hits the treadmill. This is great for those just getting into an exercise program, as well as for seasoned runners looking to add more mileage to their regimen without additional soreness.
-
All of the TV, none of the guilt
Do you secretly love reality TV, or old school game shows? It’s okay, we do, too. When you train on a treadmill, in many cases you can indulge in your guilty pleasure channels when you are getting in some good calorie burn. Boredom is no longer an excuse not to log some quality time with your treadmill.
-
Safety first
Let’s face it, running in traffic can be dangerous. On a treadmill, you do not have to worry about potential hazards and can crank up that perfect playlist (which we would advise against while running outside) and get back to focusing on the goal at hand: getting a great cardio workout.
-
It will always be there for you
The treadmill never slows and never quits. While you have to rely on yourself for pacing when doing cardio outside (and often times slow down without even realizing it), your treadmill will keep you moving right along, and depending on what types of pre-programmed routines it has, will guide you through interval training, hills and even sprint workouts.
