CYBEX International has recently announced its partnership with Allegheny Sports Medicine mobile fitness and therapy centres; training facilities which will be used exclusively by elite golfers on the PGA Tour and Champions Tour throughout 2012.
Athletes on the PGA Tour 2012, which consists of 45 official events taking place throughout the USA and Mexico, will be supported by four mobile fitness and therapy centres; these will travel to all tournament sites to support the players throughout the season.
Each fitness centre includes a range of CYBEX cardiovascular equipment to include Arc Trainers, treadmills and exercise bikes. The facility will also be equipped with CYBEX Bravo functional trainers and adjustable benches.
Paul Schueren, a physical therapist who has been with the player mobile fitness centres since 1988, indicated how important the decision to choose the right equipment supplier was: “By using mobile fitness and therapy centres installed with CYBEX equipment, more than 80 per cent of PGA Tour professionals are demonstrating that fitness and performance are linked at the highest level.”
The announcement that CYBEX will be equipping the PGA Tour and Champions Tour for 2012 follows the launch of the CYBEX Golf Performance Programme.
Developed by the CYBEX Institute of Exercise Science and following extensive research, the programme is designed to enhance the specific physical attributes that lead to an efficient and powerful golf swing, regardless of the golfer’s age or ability.
